Visit to Garment Technology Expo 2018 | JD Institute Bangalore

The Fashion Design batch of JD Institute of Fashion Technology along with their faculty members recently visited “Garment Technology Expo 2018” which was held at Dr. Prabhakar Kore convention centre, Peenya.

“Garment Technology Expo” is one of India’s largest and finest exhibitions committed to latest apparel technology, digital printing and garment accessories. This exhibition is keenly patronized every alternate year by the apparel manufacturers and marketing companies with a maximum footfall of customers and international participants.

This year, different garment manufacturing companies from various parts of the world along with some famous brands like MEHALA, PFAFF, BULLMER, SIRUBA, JUKI, BROTHER, BIRDY, IMPRESS APPAREL, LOKO GLOBAL, YAMATO, RICOMA, IIGM, RAMSONS, KANSAI, ALPINE etc. were a part of this exhibition. The students got an opportunity to see and understand the functions of the latest industrial machinery from the professionals of each brand. They also came across various machinery and products like collar & cuff pressing machine, automatic embroidery machines, cutting machines- Round knife & Straight knife, fabric spreader, automatic cutter, overlock machines, thread winder, buttonhole machines, Juke machine parts, printing curing machines, screen printing, denim studs attachment, knitted collar making, quality control instruments, heat transfer printing method, digital printing, sublimation printing, multi-head automatic embroidery machine, quilting machine and fully automatic sleeve-placket setter etc. The event provided a platform for students to understand the industry better with the advancement of technologies. It was an informative as well as a new experience for Jediiians to gain knowledge and skills that are undertaken by the industry.
