A virtual campus drive was conducted by PVH Arvind Fashion Pvt. Ltd. for the students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Cochin, on 10^th March 2021.  PVH, one of the world’s largest and most admired companies is known for their commitment to build on their strength, live by values and drive fashion forward for good, came to hire students who are interested to work and learn in retail.

The virtual campus drive started off with an introduction about the company and its major brands, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. With 50 years of iconic history, PVH acquired Calvin Klein in 2003 and has overseen a focused approach to growing the brand’s presence worldwide, as well as its prestige, recognition and relevance. (https://www.plu68.com/) Tommy Hilfiger, which was acquired by PVH Corp. in 2010, is a global apparel and retail company with more than 16,000 associates worldwide. With the support of strong global consumer recognition, Tommy Hilfiger has built an extensive distribution network in over 100 countries and more than 2,000 retail stores throughout. The session was completely interactive and they made sure that students were comfortable enough throughout. They shared their success stories in retail and the employee roles behind the success. The process involved in Employee care, target setting, Customer relationship were conveyed to students and highlighted the fact of transparency maintained between all levels.

The students were guided through the key responsibilities required for the job profile.  Managing and nurturing the company’s interaction with customers, Creating Visual merchandising concepts and guidelines, stock management and understanding customer behaviour and providing instant feedbacks are few among the ones mentioned during the session.

The interview process included a group discussion followed by a personal interview. After group discussion, based on the performance, 3 students were shortlisted for personal interview. Ms. Anjusree from Diploma in Fashion Design, Sept. 2019 batch successfully cleared the interview and got placed in Tommy Hilfiger, Chennai.

The virtual campus drive by PVH Arvind Pvt. Ltd. was a huge success and great experience for the students. We wish all the very best to Anjusree and all success in future endeavours.
