Vanitha Veedu Exhibition 2018, Kochi

‘Vanitha Veedu Exhibition 2018’, is a premier and one of the largest exhibitions for interiors, architecture and construction. It was organized by the Vanitha Veedu Magazine and Indian Institute of Architects in October 2018 at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor, Kochi.

The students from the Interior Designing Department of JD Institute of Technology, Kochi visited the exhibition and learnt about the various elements involved in interior designing. The exhibition featured seminars, interactive sessions, demonstrations, entertainment and food.  The students got to experience the difference in design, its details and materials. They learned about making interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful, by determining space requirements. This can be achieved by selecting decorative items, such as colours, lighting and materials.
There were also product displays like, home appliances, kitchen appliances, electronic, electrical and interior decoration items, flooring materials, furniture etc.

Exhibitions are an avenue to showcase what is on offer and what is trending. It allows professionals to get a first-hand experience and make a well-rounded decision about how they can offer better products to their clients. The exhibition gave the students a real time experience on what is available in the market. Since, the exhibition is an amalgamation of all three very important aspects of building a space, the exposure is vast and a good learning ground. This will benefit students in their future endeavors.
