Vaasathin Isai is a concept presented by Shreya Giridhar that paid tribute to MS Subbulakshmi. The style of MS Subbulakshmi has been highlighted in this project. Shreya who has pursued her BSc in Interior Design and Decoration from JD School of Design, curated a cottage keeping certain elements fused with Chettinad style. She created a space with a traditional ambience by using traditional materials such as athangudi tiles, mud plastering, red oxide, yellow oxide, terracotta blocks, teak wood that also add to sustainability. It has a courtyard which is prominent in Chettinad architecture. The entire cottage has earthy tones with natural materials.

Vaasathin Isai also received the Best Thesis of the Year Award from JD Design Awards.
