JD Design Awards 2022 witnessed a number of design solutions that solves multiple problems including the deteriorating health of the planet. Designers Nishant Bucha, Keerthana, and Archana Budihal looked into the portability problem of food stalls.

The designers brainstormed and aimed to curate a design that can fit in a 100 sq ft area. The stall is inspired by the food trucks. It is a type of stall that has a kitchen with all the basic appliances. The exterior of the food stall will look exactly like a food truck. The stall that the designers are going to design can be dismantled easily and can be transported to another area and installed again.

The food stall can be fully customized according to the client’s requirements. It is designed for an imaginary client. The client that has been considered for the ideation is a street food seller. “He wants to place his stall at parties, weddings, and events. The cuisine is customizable as the kitchen has all the basic equipment for fast food. This food stall is designed according to the basic menu requirement.”, said one of the designers.

The extraordinary design by the interior design aspirants showcased the innovative steps that the designers today are taking for uplifting the society and restoring the planet’s health. The project Trukan’s Transformable Food Stall also received the Best Execution Award from JD Design Awards 2022.
