The Vintage Charm was designed by Lava Kumar Janagam, a student of Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design from JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru for JD Design Awards 2023. Through her work the young designer paid tribute to her Grandfather – Mr. Namdev, who was very fashionable and unique in the 1960s and continues to inspire the designer.  

The high-end autumn/winter collection of 10 outfits was inspired by the 1950s and 1960s – a style which epitomized the designer’s grandfather carried. An absolute set of retro vibe garments targeting the business class. The fabrics used are terry wool, terry rayon silk, velvet, imported jacquard and quilting velvet.
