THE GREAT INDIAN FOOD FESTIVAL | JEDIIIANS CELEBRATED THE LOVE FOR FOOD

Fashion ain’t just about apparel, accessories and beauty but also lifestyle, travel, food and more. This is what ignited the idea of conducting a food fest, for the first time at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore campus. The Institute believes in motivating its students to explore beyond the course curriculum- and not restrict themselves.

The Great Indian Food Festival was a celebration of the Country’s rich culture and culinary diversity, and was nothing less than a gastronomic treat where our in house chefs from all the departments – Fashion Design, Interior Design, Jewelry Design had put up food stalls to showcase the best cuisines from their respective states to make us fall in love with India even more. The entire procedure started days’ back where for the screening and audition students presented 5 cuisines and the best 2 were selected for each student to present for the main event. The atmosphere was filled with Joy and excitement. The screening test was quite interesting to conduct and the judging panel was amazed with the types of cuisines and the presentation done by our talented master chefs.

During the event, the students prepared some delicious cuisines and dishes of worth between Rs. 15 to Rs. 50. It was a fun gathering, full of energy and good vibes with lively installations and photo booths set up on the terrace along with peppy music, to add to the pomp and show of the atmosphere.The event was honored by the presence of the management tea, faculties, staff and students of JD. The event was a great success with everyone enjoying and filling their tummies.
