The Christmas Party at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Goa

The Christmas Party celebrated at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Goa was organised for the sole purpose of providing holiday cheer to our students. The event was helmed by the Cultural committee of the institute as a 3-hour event conducted in the auditorium hall with social distancing protocol in mind.

The Christmas Party was divided into three categories alongwith 4 on the spot games for the students. The categories were:

  1. Dress in the Christmas theme
  2. Make your own gift
  3. A star is made

The students stood a chance to win a gift hamper for each of the categories for the best entry. The best dressed among the student attendees who were dressed in the theme of Christmas was given the gift hamper and it went to Sahana from the Interior Design department. The make-your-own gift tasked the students with making a gift and the packaging from scratch for a loved one. Out of all the entries received the hamper went to Dhanashree of the Interior Design department. A “star is made” required students to make stars from everyday household items as an exercise in sustainable and environment friendly decoration for the holidays. The hamper in this event went to Supriya of the Interior Design department.

Apart from the main events the “on the spot” games required the student attendees to be split into groups of three and were asked to participate in these games.

  1. Balloon balance
  2. 5 second rule
  3. Flip bottle tic tac toe

All the students were asked to sanitize themselves while entering the venue. They were all required to wear their face masks all the time. Snacks and drinks were provided to all the attendees.
