“If dreams were made out of stone, it would be Hampi”
The collection draws its inspiration from the beautiful architectural shapes of ‘Hampi’, one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.
The name Hampi can also mean “champion”. Truly a champion in its own right, the charismatic monumental beauty of the place and wonderful architectural structures are truly intriguing – an experience in itself. Their large dimension, bold and delicate carvings, stately pillars, traditional mythological motifs and magnificent pavilions forms the elements of this collection.
The magnificent colours of the temples and monuments have been translated into the collection in a natural and earthy colour palette of white, black, grey, beige and brown. In a fabric story of cotton and linen, the structures, the lines and the carvings of Hampi’s lotus temple, Virupaksha temple and queen’s bath are depicted in the garments, with a contemporary twist.
Titled ‘The Champion’, the design collection is presented by Deepa Nataraj , Nikeeta Dugar, Pooja Vaishnav, Oendrila Mondal and Rajni Parmar
