Talk Session with Aaika – Interior Design Department

JD Institute of Fashion Technology aims to take education a level higher for its students and make them industry ready. Several eminent speakers from the industry visit the institute to hold interactive sessions with the students. On December 18th, JD Institute organized a talk session for its Interior Department with Aaika, one of the leading manufacturers in furniture.

Aaika, being in the market for the last 13 years, is one of the leading suppliers of furniture across South India. It highlights a product range that is sync with the accepted trends and styles in Interior décor and design. Apart from that, the company also deals with dining tables, cots, and individual furniture pieces. Their latest innovation revolves around providing storage compartments in their sofa sets and having strips of LED lights in their sofa sets. Based in Bangalore, the company has prime customers and deals with Kaveri Furniture, Looking Good Furniture, and Rahul Furniture.

Mr. Naman Jain interior designer at Aaika and alumni of JD Institute addressed our Interior Design Course students about the latest innovations and designs. Followed by a small brief on the entire manufacturing process that the company follows. He also emphasized on professional designs and the quality of materials they use in their manufacturing process.

All in all, Learning about Aaika, was an added advantage to the interior designing students since furniture and its functionality work together in the space planning phase.
