Talk on Sustainability – Dhawal Mane

We have been talking about sustainability over a year now. At JD Annual Design Awards 2017, the designers created collections by keeping sustainability in mind. Why is it that we are emphasizing on it? Our global future is dependent on it and we must ensure conservation of resources. We are trying to create awareness for the student fraternity at the grass root level so to make them wise, while they create designs. Recently, JD Institute of Fashion Technology invited a change maker – Mr. Dhawal Mane, specialist in sustainable textiles. He addressed issues of concern such as environmental degradation, global warming, sustainable developmental goals set by UN and 3 pillars of sustainability. Streamlining into his discipline, he discussed about lifecycle of an apparel product.
