Summer is the time of the year to get a free tan and enjoy brunches with friends and family. Although, this summer may not be the ideal way to spend it, who’s to say that we can’t dress up at home and still have the perfect brunch with our families? Braiding your hair this summer will be just the perfect hairstyle for any outfit you choose to wear. By braiding your hair you aren’t just protecting your hair from the harsh sun rays but are also saving yourself from the exuberant sweating that’s coming your way. Let’s not forget braids are also a fun activity for mother and daughter to work on each other’s hair. Additionally, braids help avoid tangling of the hair and also keep it out of the face causing any irritation. You can even club braids with buns, but turning the two braids into crowned buns. Or simply just go for messy buns.

2. FLAUNT THAT HAT:

Hats are always in fashion, but summer hats are the once in a year trend. You might not need the hat while inside the house, but when out on the balcony for a midday sun bath or some tans, hats can really help with protecting your face. Protecting the facial skin from the direct rays of the sun is just as important as wearing sunscreen no matter where you may be. You have so many different types of hats, but the one that is loved by many is the big straw hat.

3. DON’T FORGET SUNSCREEN:

Sunscreen is one of the most important parts of the makeup or skincare routine. There’s a myth that you need not wear sunscreen if you do not step out of the house or that you only need it during summer. This is false. You need sunscreen all 365 days of the year whether you are inside the house, outside the house or if it is summer or winter. All day, everyday sunscreen is a must. The sun is out 365 days, which means it can still harm your skin. The UV rays from the sun are also one of the reasons for skin diseases and skin cancer. So, it is a must to wear sunscreen no matter what.

4. LET’S GO NATURAL:

Summer makeup is one that keeps the women on their feet. Experimenting with pastel colours, summer accessories like pearls and stones, and the different nude shades to match the eyelook. But this summer, why not go a bit more natural? Applying heavy makeup during summer can be very irritating as the makeup is going to melt off, leaving residues and a sticky feel on the skin. So this summer, keep it low and natural. Avoid heavy foundation and alternate it with lightweight foundations or BB creams.
