Collection Name: Spunk
Students Names: Chintalapudi Nagarjuna & Swarnim Sharma
The apparel industry has mostly overlooked the clothing needs of the specially abled people. The designers of the collection Spunk came up with a solution for this neglected segment using the 3 proponents of wear-ability – wear, mobility and removal. The collection comprises of street style garments with silhouettes that are baggy and loose-fitted that are easy for a person to wear or remove. The innovative patterns used are designed to meet the needs of people with vertical or horizontal paralysis and muscular dystrophy. Mercerized cotton has been used to create this collection, detailed with 3D illusionary patchworks, inspired by Fritz Wotruba Church in Vienna, used as surface detail. The colour palette comprises of pure black, griffin, mallard green, bossa nova and mustang. The collection is presented by Chintalapudi Nagarjuna & Swarnim Sharma from B.Sc. Batch.
