A Seminar on Every Day Make-up | MAC Cosmetics at JD Institute

Proper grooming and a professional appearance is a must to gain respect in the workplace. The way you look and carry yourself creates an impression on your work and co-workers as well. On Monday, 18th March 2019, there was an excited buzz in every faculty room at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore. A make-up session was being held for the Faculty and staff at the Brigade Road Campus by professional make-up artists from M.A.C. Cosmetics of the Shoppers Stop and Forum Mall stores. The team comprised of Ms. Namita, Mr. Tinku, and Ms. Avni.

The session was conducted with effortless skill and deconstructed a well-made look for everyday wear. While explaining the techniques, Ms. Namita explained the functionality of each product and the details of its shade. She started with cleaning the face, priming and moisturizing it. The next step was the concealer to even out the pigmentation on the face. The foundation went on next, followed by the compact powder, both applied in dabbing motions of the brush. A definition was given to the look by the use of eyebrow powder, blush, highlighter, and contour powder.

Ms. Namita also specified the importance of defining the eye. She gave a fine application of kajal at the waterline of the eye followed by a slight smudge to soften the look.

Along with the demo session Ms. Namita gave a few beauty hacks to our faculty members which one must follow in the everyday routine. The session ended with the felicitation of the team from M.A.C Cosmetics, and the attendees received vouchers for a 30-minute make-up session at the store itself.
