Individuality, freedom, creativity and artisinal values are the central elements of the collection Rustic WabiSabi. The term WabiSabi is a Japanese aesthetic that emphasizes on the acceptance of transience and imperfections. Inspired by Japanese art form Kintsugi, the collection infuses separate elements that ideally belong together. Naturally dyed dupion silks and Saori weaved fabric are used in this collection. The Saori weave is a free-style of weaving that gives freedom of expression and creativity to the weaver. The shades of brown, in the collection is extracted from iron rust to dye yarns. The silhouettes are simple, yet deconstructed and asymmetry, irregularity and naturalness accentuate the garments. The collection is presented by Pooja Bedi from B.Sc batch.
