“The markets gets a new look”: Permanent art exhibition
This unique art exhibition refined, rejuvenated and restored the design and the construction of the Vintage Metronio Market, becoming the new suburban area of the historical city of Rome.
This initiative took place to establish a creative and culturally diverse platform.
Organized by the Association “Arte Altra e Carteinregola” this exhibition wanted to fuse together the creative and imaginative works of artists of different cultures and traditions.
This Project has given a very important and esteemed international exposure to JD Educational Trust students to showcase their years of hard work and intellectual perfection in the form of art and design. The exhibition took place thanks to the support of the VII Council of Rome, AGS Mercato Metronio, and to artistic approach of JD Institute of Fashion Technology and the JD International Design School Bangalore.
The event was inaugurated by Antonello Ciancio, President of Rome City Hall Council and Rosa Simonelli, followed by a slide show titled San Giovanni area as it was. To preserve the essence of the market, fruits and vegetables became the media used for realisation of artworks.
