India is the hub of diversity and each of its regions has a unique culture. By means of design interior designer Minal Jain portrayed the rich heritage of Rajasthani culture for JD Design Awards 2022.

Designer Minal Jain curated a plan in 2400 sq ft. The location she chose is in Vadodara, Gujarat. The existing site is a modernist coffee shop. The restaurant is a Rajasthani style space that celebrates the culture of the place. The name of the restaurant is Rasoi Ghar. It has indoor seating as well as outdoor space. The restaurant is spacious and has elements that are inspired by nature. To give one of a kind experience, the entrance has a water stream where people can wash their feet before entering the restaurant. The traditional touch is given by the seating arrangement where the customers can sit peacefully and enjoy every bit of the food.

The designer has included natural materials in making the space a sustainable space. Bamboo and wood are used in making the small structures of the building. Moreover, earthen pots are used inside the restaurant to give an authentic flavour to the range of offering. To curate this space, the designer did rigorous research and studied different spaces to understand the interiors better.

The entire restaurant is made in a raw manner to give the authentic touch. For this project interior designer Minal Jain received Mentor’s Choice Award for the Best Methodology from the grand platform of JD Design Awards 2022.
