Parami, was designed by Kousalya K, Bharath B G and Chaitanya M M, students of MSc. in Fashion Design and Management at JD School of Design, Bengaluru for JD Design Awards 2023. The collection paid tribute to Humanity. The term, ‘Parami’ refers to the ten virtues or perfections that practitioners strive to cultivate on their path to enlightenment. The aim of the project was to express the essence of the virtues through innovative fashion designs, merging traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics. The fashion portfolio captures the spiritual, serene, and harmonious aspects of Buddhism while incorporating elements of modern style and trends. The target audience for this collection are individuals who are interested in Buddhism, spirituality, and conscious fashion. They appreciate garments that not only make a style statement but also carry a deeper meaning and reflect their personal values. The designs draw inspiration from Buddhist symbolism, nature, and the serene atmosphere of Buddhist temples. The garments evoke a sense of tranquillity, balance, and mindfulness.
