The Limbu people regard the goddess Ningwaphuma, also known as Yamu Sammang, as the embodiment of Mother Earth’s soul, and the Ningwaphuma Yuma series is devoted to her. Ishwari Chongbang’s designs are a testament to this cultural respect, combining traditional motifs inspired by nature, such as flowers, trees, and ceramics, with contemporary silhouettes. The clothes have exquisite Limbu jewellery like Shirphool and Chandra Haari, which add a deep cultural meaning that visually represents the attributes of the goddess. This combination creates a stunning look that respects both tradition and innovation.

The series includes eco-friendly features in response to today’s growing environmental concerns. Yuma Sammang’s use of nettle fabric is not only in line with sustainable fashion but also shows the goddess’s resilience and love for nature. This fabric is known for its special properties, such as heat resistance in summer and cold resistance in winter, making it both a practical and symbolic theme of the collection.

The Ningwaphuma Yuma collection is deeply reflected in its theme of respect for nature and cultural heritage.  At a time when environmental issues are becoming more serious, these models encourage a return to their origins, both in terms of design inspiration and material selection. The clothes, made of stinging nettle fabric and embellished with traditional Limbu jewellery, represent a harmonic blend of heritage and modernity. Each piece not only recounts the visual story of Goddess Ningwaphuma but also serves as a reminder of the value of sustainability in fashion.

The fabric and color choices in the collection are carefully chosen to reflect the concept and cultural relevance. The major material is stinging nettle fabric, which is well-known for its environmental friendliness and durability. Cool reactive colors enhance the rich shades of maroon, red, brown, purple, denim blue, light blue, and black, reflecting the natural beauty and vibrancy of the goddess and her realm. Classified by exquisite craftsmanship and artistry, the fashion collection is a timeless expression of cultural pride and environmental responsibility.
