At JD Design Awards 2022, co-working space Nest, designed by Aditi Jain, Amaya C and Dimple S is a unique project that connects nature and humans by giving the work space a touch of our environment.

The space Nest is an engaging and inviting co-working space inspired by a bird’s nest. Coworking spaces possess a huge potential to support environmental sustainability due to their inherently sharing-oriented constitution. The Nest is designed to provide people with a calm and relaxing space to work, and it also helps to keep their minds stress-free and focused while working. The designers focused on bringing lots of green on the inside as it is on the outside, which makes people feel like they’re in sync with nature.

The space follows ergonomics and also gives people an option to fold their legs and sit while working, which is proven to help in stretching the muscles and improving the posture of the body. Furthermore, the designers also included many elements that engage the five senses of a human being. Studies have also proven that members of green coworking spaces tend to have good health and wellbeing.

“Over the past few months, we have all witnessed the unexpected, unheard, and unseen disasters in the world. Regular fires in the jungles, rising temperatures, glaciers melting, sea levels increasing, cyclones, earthquakes, etc. Every passing day we are approaching the saturation point of a climate emergency. As a solution to that, we believe the concept of green workspace will soon become a norm rather than an exception. From the future of work to the future of sustainability, coworking spaces have the potential to solve these problems.”, said the designers.
