Muslim Bridal Look, curated by the guest faculty Ms. Naina Singh as part of the professional Makeup and Hairstyle Artistry course at JD Institute of Fashion Technology. This lecture gave the students an opportunity to learn new techniques and the best finishing of the makeup. The 2 day lecture experience included Muslim Bridal Look and South Indian Bridal Look
Since it is a Muslim bride, Green was the choice of colour for the outfit as is observed on most of the Indian Muslim Weddings. The look was enhanced with bold colours and bold eye makeup. The look was started with the prepping of the skin by keeping the base matte as it helps in getting better photographs, the base or foundation was kept heavy by making the skin tone one shade lighter. Heavy contour and highlight were done which gives a sharp dimension to the face that would look good on heavy outfits and jewellery. Contour, a technique that sculpts and add dimension to the face that is slightly darker or lighter than the actual skin.
The look consisted of half cut crease makeup on the eyes with a tinge of green in the end according to the outfit and heavy lashes by Uroparis were used to complete the eye makeup. The eye makeup was kept minimal complimenting the outfit, jewellery and hairstyle. The lips were also kept subtle and nude for making sure that focus in on the eyes and is not taken away by the lips.
The hairstyle included extensions which were curled up to compliment the models face and outfit. Whereas the hair in the crown section was back combed with a side partition and placed accordingly and the hair behind was left open and placed on one side of the models head and roses were placed on the hair as accessories.
Muslim Bridal Look, was created by all the above detailing to portray a perfect flawless look. This demonstration helped the students learn better and helped them aim for perfection. This workshop was conducted as part of the Diploma course in Make-up and Hair Style Artistry offered by JD Institute of Fashion Technology Bengaluru.
