About Course
The Master of Design (M.Des) in Interior Design is an advanced program tailored to deepen students’ understanding of design principles, sustainability, technology integration, and project management within interior spaces. The M.Des Interior Design program spans over four semesters, building on foundational design concepts and expanding into specialized fields such as sustainable practices, advanced materials, and interior project management. The curriculum combines theory with hands-on studio work, including courses in business management, advanced 3D visualization, and cutting-edge design software. The program culminates in a comprehensive thesis project, enabling students to apply research-based methodologies to real-world challenges.
- Emphasises on learning various interior designs and spatial design methodologies, both new and established; questioning their capability in meeting the current concerns.
- Develops the ability to comprehend contemporary aspects of interior design through the integration of both theory and practice, and provide effective and adaptable solutions.
- Focuses on the integral elements of interior design such as, colour and lighting, furniture in interiors, floriculture and landscaping, consumer and merchandising, etc.
- Develops the idea of deliberating on the evolving trends, contemporary norms, cultural dynamics and innovations of interior design both in, Indian and international market.
