Loving Vincent, designed by Harshita Singh and Bhyravi Shravya A, students of Diploma in Fashion Technology July 2022 at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru for JD Design Awards 2023. The collection paid tribute to greatest painter of all times – Vincent Van Gogh.

The renowned painter was known to have brought a revolution in art and changed the lives of millions. The young fashion designers high-street fashion collection was inspired by Van Gogh’s love for Japanese cuts which is not known to many. 

While doing in-depth research on the painter, the designers noticed something in all his phenomenal paintings, which was the wield of shades of blue and yellow in almost all of them. The same colour palette has been implemented in the collection.

The fashion designers also incorporated letter embroidery on the garments with a thread pull-out technique, taking inspiration from the emotional and heart-touching letters he wrote to his loving brother throughout his life.
