Lotus meditation retreat is proposed to be located on Lakshwadeep island and is inspired by a lotus flower. Following the inspiration, the pivotal and central space is turned into the reception area and the other parts, such as the petals of the flower is represented by the meditation space, dance studio and café. The centre is designed intricately by using materials that are locally available to make it sustainable. The structure is composed of concrete, recycled iron and solar controlled glass. Locally available wood is used for flooring and furniture. The reception area is made using bamboo and rocks that are available in abundance are used for seating. Giving utmost importance to the environment, the meditation centre which is amidst nature will traverse you into the world of calm, peace and tranquillity.
