Jediiian Fest 2022 culminated with lots of enthusiasm and energy and showcased how the students, faculty and staff members of JD Institute Bangalore come together to celebrate the youthful spirit. Here’s a flashback of how the fest went and kept us all on our toes. To tell it in a line, Jediiians Fest 2022 was all about intense energy, fun and fervor.

Once the world was hit by the pandemic, everyone was stuck in their own bubble and along with that all events were at a standstill or went virtual. It has been 2 years since Jediiians were not able to showcase their talents. And eagerly everyone was waiting for that one event, where all the passion and excitement can be showcased in full glory.

To end our wait, one day, a message popped up in the group with an eye-catching beginning stating boldly the ‘JEDIIIANS FEST 2022’. Soon we descended to the audition day. There was nervousness filled in the room, everyone discussing and practicing their act to showcase in front of the bench of judges who are also our mentors and faculty. As the audition started, the air in the room changed, while many students came out with happy and satisfied faces, some also met with disappointments with a hope to hone their talent more.

As the days passed by, at every corner there were small groups practicing with an enthralling excitement for the big day, the day 1 of JEDIIIANS FEST 2022 which was JD Got Talent.

Finally, the morning of the 25th April 2022 arrived. Everyone reached the venue, music was being checked, stage was set, lights were being adjusted and it was showtime! Once the performances for various talents started, the excitement slowly kicked in for the Jediiians. There were outstanding dance performances, melodious singing and some intense acts as well. On that day, many came to know about their true potentials and showcased what Jediiians are capable of. As all the performances wrapped up, the prize distribution ceremony started and many of my college mates shone bright in multiple categories, stunning everyone with their talent. As the JD Got Talent was about to get over, we Jediiians did not miss the opportunity to shake our legs to the latest tunes and enjoy our hearts out with our soul and energy.

With the successful culmination of Day 1 of Jediiian Fest 2022, we moved on to Day 2 which marked the beginning of Sports Meet. We were already bubbling with energies and sport events injected athletic spirit in us where we all in a healthy way wanted the top position. The Day 2 consisted of Indoor Games like Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Badminton. Students flocked and cheered for their favorites. Moreover, the faculty and staff members of the institute also joined in the sportive colors.

As the day 3 of Jediiian Fest arrived, we were on the field and played our best. The outdoor sports were held at St John’s Medical College ground with the sun shining bright on us. Everyone gathered early in the morning with their athletic attires, sports shoes, sunglasses and caps on. And even though the sun was scorching, it did not deter the Jediiians, afterall everyone was onto their A-games after two long years. The outdoor game consisted of relays, shot put, discus throw, volleyball, throwball, cricket, football for both men and women and faculty and staff members too. While in the group sports events, the glory of teamwork was witnessed, in race and individual events, a healthy competition was seen.

To make the entire event even more exciting and enthralling, a Championship Trophy was awaiting. Jediiian Fest 2022 apart from invigorating and cheering the students was an interdepartmental competition between the Bachelors, Diploma and Masters batch. Though in the four day long event Jediiians got exhausted but their faces looked satisfied.

On the last day of Sports Meet arrived and we all waited for the prize distribution ceremony. With heads held high, the winners stood on the podium and received huge roars of applause. In the end the ultimate champions of the entire event was announced and it turned out to be the Bachelors batch preceded by massive point difference.

The four day long event which was backed by weeks of preparation finally ended and we all bathed in glory. The fest was not only about putting up a show but building fellowship among Jediiians. The stutter and hesitation between the seniors and juniors was erased. All departments came together and made a huge success. The two year long wait concluded and it showed the unshaken spirit of the students, faculty and staff members of the institute at Jediiian Fest 2022.
