Export Packaging & Export Management Programme
New Delhi, 18th March, 2016: JD Institute of Fashion Technology in Collaboration with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) have initiated Export Packaging & Export Management Programme in sync with PM Narendra Modi’s ideology Skill India. The five day workshop started from 15th March and continued till 19th March, 2016.
The guest luctures on the first two days were given by Dr.Tanweer Alam,Joint Director,Indian institute of packaging and Mr.R.K.Panigrahi,Director,MSME.
According to Kalraj Mishra, Union MSME Minister,” The micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) segment will play a key role in domestic manufacturing and will lead the Make in India programme, turning it into a success. This sector remains at the core of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Make in India” initiative and it can change the employment landscape of India.”
The five day workshop was initiated to cultivate entrepreneurship skills in the budding designers which will help them to ideate, innovate, prepare project report and set up their own brand.
Mr.Rc Dalal,Executive Director,JD institute of Fashion Technology said,” We need to focus on Digital India to ease business through easy governance. With a digital India, there will be easy and effective governance which is the need of the hour. This is for the first time, a government has realized the potential of the MSME sector and has asked major ministries to support the micro, small and medium enterprise sector of country.”
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy over the last five decades. MSMEs not only play crucial role in providing large employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost than large industries but also help in industrialization of rural & backward areas, thereby, reducing regional imbalances, assuring more equitable distribution of national income and wealth. MSMEs are complementary to large industries as ancillary units and this sector contributes enormously to the socio-economic development of the country.
