Goa, India – September 27th to September 29th, 2024 — JD Institute of Fashion Technology is proud to announce a continued partnership with The Hospitality Interior and Design Expo, or HIDE Expo Goa 2024 as their Knowledge Partner for the third successive year. HIDE Expo Goa is a leading trade event that showcases the latest developments in interior design, lighting, surfaces, and furnishings for the hospitality industry. This trade expo provides young, aspiring designers with a unique platform to engage in many creative activities that are designed to inspire their imagination, hone their skills, and learn new things. Set to take place from September 27th to September 29th, 2024, at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim, near Goa University, the expo provides aspiring designers with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide array of creative activities designed to inspire, educate, and enhance their professional skills.

As the Knowledge Partner, JD Institute will contribute its industry expertise and thought leadership, offering valuable insights across multiple expo platforms. The institute’s involvement will span several key activities, including-

Panel discussion: This will feature key voices from the architecture and design community. The panel members are:

• Dr Aniruddha Pawar, PhD (IIT Roorkee) – Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Design at Goa University – speaks on Green Buildings and Climate-Responsive Design.
• Ar. Amit Parashar, M. Arch. (University of British Columbia) – Principal Architect at Design Workshop Goa, discussing the Environment & Design.
• Mr. KulaSekhar Kantipudi – Real estate developer and IGBC Goa co-chair, will share insights on Sustainable Real Estate Projects in Goa.

Model Hunt 2024: A highlight of the event, the Model Hunt provides a platform for young models to display their talent and confidence. Contestants compete for the titles of Mr. and Ms. HIDE. 

The Model Hunt grand finale will culminate in the crowning of Mr. and Ms. HIDE 2024, recognising young talent who have demonstrated exceptional charisma, poise, and potential. This event serves as a stepping stone for emerging models to gain visibility and recognition within the industry.

JD Institute  students will present their innovative designs, crafted specifically for the event, showcasing their creativity and design prowess. Attendees will have the chance to connect with industry professionals, peers, and mentors, fostering meaningful collaborations and business relationships. Expert talks on sustainability and innovation where a curated lineup of thought leaders and industry experts will discuss the future of design, focusing on sustainable practices and cutting-edge innovations. JD Institute of Fashion Technology will also feature exemplary project work from its students, highlighting their talent and commitment to pushing the boundaries of design.
