Rajeshwari C when embarked on the JD Imagination Journey, it confused us. A Jewellery designer by profession, what qualities does she want to hone further. If you’ll ask any individual, he/she might say about pursuing technical courses of jewellery design and more but going for a fashion styling course is unique.

As most of our readers, even we were confused, hence we had a tete-e-tete with the jewellery designer and the first thing she cleared for us was why going for JD Imagination Journey was one the best decisions she has ever made. She said, “jewellery or body ornaments have been an integral part of the fashion styling. It is those decorative pieces that amp up anyone’s attire or look, if paired well” adding “JD Imagination Journey gave me an opportunity to learn about the intricacies of styling and how to mould its aspect for my area of interest.”

Rajeshwari has pursued Jewellery Design from JD Institute of Fashion Technology Bangalore. During her course she had participated in the JD Design Awards 2022 and excelled, winning the Most Creative Design Collection. The event also inspired you to believe in her talent and move ahead in the same field.

When asked about her urge of becoming a stylist, she said, “I wanted to understand trends and the in’s and out’s of the fashion world. In order to learn about the jewellery design industry I wanted to go for a short term course in the fashion industry and understand how my talent can be introduced there.”

“Even during the fashion styling short, I used the jewellery pieces that I had designed to enhance the entire appeal of the look. For my jewellery pieces, I also received huge praise from everyone at Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design”, she added.

Rajeshwari’s entire exploration is full of learning. She found inspiration in the architecture of Paris and London. She imbibed the street style of the European continent and incorporated it with her own style.

Even her street style photography highlighted the accessories and the kind that different culture goes for. Summarising her JD Imagination Journey, the Jewellery Designer stated “I have never thought about it but the vistas that Imagination Journey has opened for me are completely different. The picture of European style that the internet paints is completely different from reality. Both the cities; Paris and London, are the fashion capitals of the world and are a juxtaposition of old and new worlds.”

JD Imagination Journey over the years has given opportunity to over 500 fashion enthusiasts in its seven successful seasons. Be it the students of JD Institute or the faculty members, many have enrolled for it and have gone through the global learning program.
