JD Imagination Journey is one of a kind experience that JD Institute of Fashion Technology and JD School of Design provide to each learner. The journey includes an international trip to fashion capitals of the world. In the year 2022, the design enthusiasts of both the colleges visited Paris and London where they also learned international styling.

In collaboration with Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design, London students pursuing various courses at JD Institute and JD School of Design went for a week-long fashion styling training. However the learning does not stay restricted to just fashion styling.

While having a conversation with Sheela Jain who is currently pursuing her Diploma in Fashion Design, we received an insight into her voyage. For her the Imagination Journey not only opened a new door of opportunity but her entire comprehension of culture sharing. According to the aspiring designer, “JD Imagination journey has broadened my horizon. It not only helped us learn the fashion styling aspect but has developed a sense of understanding about various cultures that together form this world. “

“I belong to a conservative family where women are more into households than embracing office life. When I received a chance to explore a dream of my own, I chose to pursue it with utter determination and it proved to be an experience of a lifetime”, Sheela said while adding, “I was born a designer and I wanted to further hone my skills in the same. To understand the design industry in a better way, I opted to go for the JD Imagination journey and it was impeccable.”

The design aspirant went through a metamorphosis where she understood that designers and stylists are interdependent and to have a successful career in fashion you need to have an understanding of both the aspects. The global immersion program, JD Imagination Journey helps the learner to understand the styling and fashion industry across the globe.

JD Imagination Journey is a program that gives an opportunity to future stylists, bloggers, image consultants and others to imbibe in depth knowledge from international experts of the industry and get an experience of professional fashion shoot.

Sheela Jain, the students of Diploma in Fashion Design narrated her chronicles from the JD Imagination Journey with an elated glow on her face. The designer defined it as a “dream come true” as she got to witness the European culture and architecture on which she has worked for her classroom project.

She said, “The museum, the art galleries be it Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton or the Palace of Versailles, have been a mesmerizing experience. The embellishments, the ruffles, the structure, the decor everything was inspiring including the streets of Paris and London.”

Showcasing her gratitude to JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Sheela also added, “ I am a mother and though my peers belonged to a younger age group, I did not feel any hindrances. Initially I was a bit nervous with a thought of whether I would be accepted, however, I got to witness a group that stands together and works.”. She also added how different learners came together and bonded over their shared interest of art without giving a thought about age, religion, culture or more segregating factors.

Being all praises about the management and the grand educational tour, Sheela also spoke how she would love to be a part of JD Imagination Journey again and visit new places. When we asked her if she would recommend it to other Jediiians, her response was quick and with eyes wide open, she advised, “Please go to the Imagination Journey. Don’t miss it. Just take it as an opportunity.”
