JD ANNUAL DESIGN AWARDS – UNTOLD STORY – KAJAL D JAIN – INSPIRED BY CEDRIC MISQUITH
An artist in his own right, Cedric sustains himself by chasing his passion. He is inspired by leather art and his work extends to mural paintings, leather carvings, creating personalized handbags. His specialty lies in embossing name and signature of people on leather and carving faces of people on leather. The leather carving is done using vegetable-tanned leather which absorbs water and helps in carving easily.
This collection is an attempt to explore the stories of real people and their alter lives – the idea to have a look into the professional and personal life, the struggles and hardships, to get inspired and let people know we have artist of such stature. The collection offers a range of long, loose straight fitted capes, dresses, crops, pants, asymmetrical skirts and platforms effortlessly setting the street style tone.
