Aswathi CS & Riswana TA, a Diploma students of Fashion Design Curated a collection of Iridescent Tides is a spring/summer 2025 women’s wedding collection featuring a curated selection of wedding gowns with luxurious fabrics, fine embellishments, and pearl-inspired details, all coming together to make this an authentic luxury wedding experience for the brides. The creation celebrates the ageless allure of pearls while it flaunts the richness of satin, the delicacy of net, and the opulence of embellished fabrics. The collection does have a classic touch to it as it carries grace, romance, and sophistication. This collection provided brides with the luxury of choosing from refined attires full of glamor and poise. The various layering and fabric manipulation techniques are meant to be experimented with in order to give depth and dimension to the designs.
Iridescent tides are reminiscent of the theme of pearls. There is a mystery within the ocean that nobody can see. Within it lies a treasure chest full of wonder and brilliance, such as the oyster cradling its precious gem inside its own shell, the pearl. With this iridescent shine and timeless charm, the pearl became an emblem for elegance, purity, and grace. This collection is inspired by that enchanting world of creation-the oyster, no two oysters producing exactly the same pearl and no two designs in this collection relating the same beauty and transformation story.
It celebrates the strength and potential of the human spirit to find joy and beauty when it matters most in difficult times. At the same time, it acts as a fashionable haven, a lasting source of joy and celebration, the embodiment of the ideals of renewal, unity, and hope that are embodied in the festival of Hanami. Thus, “Sakura: Blossoms of Hope” stands as testament to finding beauty and joy even amid global uncertainty and offering women emotionally evocative yet viscerally attractive garments for Spring/Summer 2025.
The fabric and color of choice for “Iridescent Tides” we have chosen satin as the main fabric. Satin has a natural sheen and a soft texture that looks wonderful with pearls, enhancing bridal wear style.
In consideration of fabrics carrying subtle decoration like beading, sequins, or embroidery may enhance the style of the bridal gown while it can complement the pearls. It will also amplify the beauty of pearls
Tulle is very light, airy fabric and is great for layering that would go well with pearl adornments. This brings a soft romantic charm to bridal wear.
For colors we go with traditional wedding colors like white, pearl white and which give an ageless canvas for pearls. The color happens to paint the base so that there is maximum glint of the pearls in it.
