HAFELE DESIGN CENTER | STORE VISIT FOR INTERIOR DESIGN STUDENTS

On the 19^th June 2019, JD Institute of Fashion Technology organized a visit to HAFELE DESIGN CENTRE for the students of the Diploma in Interior Design Batch. The visit was in context of their module Material Survey and services.

HAFELE is a German based enterprise that deals with furniture fittings and Interior Hardware appliances. Located in Langford road, this design center had everything from lighting, sliding, sanitary, kitchen, living room and bathroom fittings. Apart from this, the store had products and fittings from different brands such as Asko, Bertazzoni, Falmec, and Liebherr.

It is the duty of an Interior Designer to select and specify colours, furniture, and other materials to create useful and stylish interiors. With the help of this visit students received an extensive knowledge regarding the implementation of materials, finishes and fixtures. They also discussed alternative material application and space design to have a better and an in depth understanding.

The visit was also in purpose to show how the technology in the modern world has become competitive and the different kinds of hardware and fittings available in the market makes one’s life easier, giving an experience of modern touch.

JD institute, being in the field since three decades believes in organizing such practical oriented exposure for a better learning experience. The visit at HAFELE served as a successful, out of classroom learning experience that allowed the students to engage with the dealers and study about their products.
