H and M at JD Campus; One of the Biggest Recruitment
It is that time of the year when Jediiians, clad in formals, sit outside the office on the brigade campus revising their much-rehearsed answers to anticipated questions on design and applications. Every year placement cell of JD Institute of Fashion Technology successfully organizes various placement drives, internship drives and workshops for their students and Alumni. This year high profile company namely H&M visited the brigade campus for recruitments of the best and fresh talent from JD Institute.
H and M is a Swedish multinational clothing-retail company known for its fast fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children. The company is a largest global clothing retailer and has a significant online presence with online shopping availability in 33 countries. Students from Fashion Designing course and Fashion Communication course were given an opportunity to showcase their work and skills to the high fashion brand and get placed in the company.
The JD Campus Placements began with a session, where the members of the company briefed our students with the aesthetics of the brand along with the details and requirements which gave our students a clear picture regarding the post they were hired for. Students were highly engaged with the information provided by the experts regarding the brand itself. They were also acknowledged with the sustainability tactics the brand is opting for and how much it is important in today’s scenario. The brand produces a conscious collection and uses recyclable materials to uplift the sustainable practices along with it offers a voucher for the people to give away their old clothes. Since Jediiians are on set with their collection for ‘Change’ having such talk sessions inspires them to design well.
The talk followed with a group decision which followed with a formal interview where our students were tested based on their knowledge and skills in regard to their subject. The recruitment became successful for our students as they were being chosen for the applied post. We wish our jediiians to have a fruitful and successful year in their own respective endeavours.
