Neethu Nath & Bushra BN a Diploma in Fashion Design (Weekend), the Galactic Glow** is a women’s wear collection for Autumn/Winter 2024, an expression of a future where resort living calmness merges into expansive space: refined elegance and ease. Blending comfort, relaxation, and style, this ensemble transports you into effortless sophistication. Featuring a cool palette of blues, the collection seamlessly integrates space-inspired elements, crafting a wardrobe perfect for resort parties. The sharp shapes and unique forms of space are echoed in our designs with silk fabric at the forefront, adding a touch of luxurious comfort. Our collection brings together resort and travel wear under the influences of the aesthetics and colors of space.
Resorts influence Galactic Glow. Most people today are sometime-swept away by some work or personal stress and look forward to being relieved. A resort is the perfect place for a staycation with family or friends where one gets a chance to decompress and recharge.
ILLUSTRATIONS & BOARD
This is the concept of endless possibilities and uniqueness upon which the Galactic Glow collection is based. While Space and Resorts present two contrasting inspirations that are equally inspiring, it is this contrast that sets our imagination and wonder ablaze, motivating us to design a collection. The three-dimensional structure and rocket-like shapes interspersed with starry galaxy colors evoke a precisely space-inspired aesthetic in the clothes.
Galactic Glow is a women’s ready-to-wear Autumn-Winter 2024 collection that features space-themed elements as it extends its range. The creation is designed as a private party wear for resort wear with the identity of travel mixed into it. Three-dimensional structures, shapes, and colors inspired from outer space have been implemented into the design in a shade of blues to give a more cosmic feel to it. The luxury modal silk and fluidity from Tabi silk create no unpleasant clash between comfort and style in the blend.
JDDA 2024
Fabrics have been chosen to be luxurious for party wear and comfy for resort wear. The range of the modal silk with Tabi silk fluidity stands out. The range of colors in use are blues, ranging from dark pageant blue to light steel blue, pottery blue, airforce blue, and cornflower blue. The dark pageant blue is used symbolically for royalty, while the other blues portray a cool, calming resort vibe and an ethereal view into space.
