The beautiful jewellery collection of JD Design Awards 2022, Faithing Blue received Best Concept Award. The collection is curated by S Haritha represents the story of Daniel. The story teaches us about the promises and faithfulness of God, even when we feel there is no hope. The mesmerising collection acts as a reminder of this promise of God and how our faith will always make us feel his presence.

Daniel’s story is of courage and bravery, but above all of true loyalty. When the king’s decree came for not bowing to anyone else than the king himself, Daniel showed his faith in God and continued to worship. Even though he could meet a terrible faith, he believed in God and his benevolence. His unhesitant faith brought him back from the Lion’s den unscratched as God chose to reward him for his faithfulness.

By taking this particular part of the tale as an idea, the motifs had been chosen. The collection showcases Daniel is in the middle with the lions underneath him and the angel protecting Daniel from above. The Faithing Blue is a collection of Brooch, neck piece and a pair of earrings. The jewellery pieces are subtly inscribed with verse or inspirational sayings that are made out of synthetic gemstones.

In this collection, the damaged and broken gemstones are collected from factory outlets. The discarded gemstones are repurposed and reused along with reusing precious metals like silver. The colour used is blur as it represents faith which also led to the nomenclature of the collection.
