This mysterious tribe is on the verge of Extinction hence the designer wanted to bring it to the mainstream of fashion to create the required awareness. The jarawa tribes are one of the Adivasi indigenous people of the Andaman Island of India. Their present numbers are estimated at between 250 to 400 individuals. There name connotes “People of the Earth” Or “The Hostile People”.The Biggest threat to the Jarawa in the recent years came from the building of the “ Great Andaman Trunk Roads” for the tourists.
