EcoNest is a project that paid tribute to Chitra Vishwanath at JD Design Awards. It was presented by Tata Venkata Sukanya, a student of JD School of Design who has pursued MSc in Interior Design.

The designer’s primary goal was to create a space that prioritized the well-being of its occupants and the environment. She drew inspiration from a concept that involved utilizing natural resources and eco-friendly materials to create a space with numerous advantages. The focal point of her design was to craft a contemporary residence using eco-friendly materials for the interiors, aiming to infuse a sense of luxury. Chitra Vishwanath and her designs served as a major source of inspiration for the designer in the creation of this eco-friendly dwelling.

EcoNest received the Best Multifunctional Furniture Design Award from JD Design Awards 2023.
