Some of the forms of illustrations are Narrative illustration used for story-telling, decorative illustration used for surface design and adornment, Informative illustration used for emphasis on facts (Maps, Settings and such), Conceptual illustration used for emphasis on an idea using content, from or both, constructed images.

Do you need to be skilled at illustrations to pursue designing?
