Diaphanous Whites unfolds the story of an anti-fashion look for the Indian market which is inspired by Loktak Lake. The silhouettes are inspired by the circular masses floating on the lake. The collection is bold and fearless to portray the courageous women of the Millennial generation. Constructed of degummed silk fibre waste, canvas and natural dyes, the collection is meticulously made by keeping sustainability in mind. The designers have provided earning opportunities to the lesser recognized and talented women kaarigars from a village to execute the application of silk fibres through a process called conching. The collection has exceptionally blended all the elements together to create an extraordinary collection for women who like to experiment with their fashion. The collection is presented by Nimra Fathima, Jyothi D Patel, Krithika Ranka and Akhila Gangadhara from the Jayanagar Batch.
