Design Thinking Workshop: AI Session at JD Institute by Samsung & The Times of India

AI Design Thinking Workshop at JD Institute of Fashion Technology – It was all excitement as the students gathered to attend a Design Thinking Workshop conducted exclusively by Samsung and The Times of India. It promised to take cutting-edge technology to the students and let them see innovation in elevating their learning experience. The workshop was full of promise for designers, innovators, and creatives with a focus on the role of artificial intelligence and the Samsung Galaxy Ecosystem.

The schedule of the workshop was set for Friday and was an integral part of Samsung’s broader initiative, providing students with the latest technologies that are shaping the future. From their AI-powered Galaxy devices to their seamless ecosystem of connected tools, Samsung has consistently been at the forefront in developing user-centred, innovative solutions. The nature of the project was such that it involved not only demonstrating how those technologies could apply to design but also how to train students with the ability to continuously adapt to the ever-evolving digital ecosystem.

A Workshop Designed for Innovation

It was launched with a 30-minute introduction to design thinking, a merging of empathy, creativity, and strategy for solving real-world problems. To this speaker from Samsung, such a process in the fast-changing world of today where technology and design merge is highly important. Design thinking, students learned, is not merely a designer’s method but a way of thinking that inspires innovation across disciplines.

Through this session, the students gained insight as to how some of the world’s leading brands, such as Samsung, apply design thinking to innovations in creating truly novel products, in this case, most interestingly, about devices powered by AI. How well AI is integrated into devices like Samsung Galaxy phones and the Galaxy ecosystem was one of the highlights of this presentation as how AI can be rather leveraged to improve user experience through predictive text to other smart camera functionalities that may change and adapt according to the needs of the user.

The discussion further established the necessity to design sustainable and future-forward designs in the context of rapidly changing global conditions. More than ever, there was a sense of urgency for redesigning systems of education and design as change fast tracks. The Samsung team emphasized how these innovations, such as Galaxy AI, empowered tools from being simply convenient to being powerful assets for learning, collaboration, and creativity.

Interactive Assessment: A Shot at Glory

After the initial introduction, the mood of the competition became competitive because the students were preparing for the 30-minute assessment intended to test their insight into design thinking. This was not a challenge but an opportunity for the students to show their creativity in solving problems and understanding the technology. It was divided into different age categories so that from first-year to third-year students would get a fair shot at success.

The three best performers would receive Samsung e-vouchers, which were highly coveted by the students. More than the rewards of monetary value that would be gathered, however, was the desire on the part of the students to stand out amongst peers to prove themselves. Through the workshop, they could put into action the very just studied and learned concepts of design thinking, hence requiring them to be creative and think on their feet to resolve novel problems.

After all was said and done, there were three winners whose innovation on solutions was greeted with thunderous acclamation from fellow participants. Still, as the assessment closed off, every participant took back something worth coming for—knowledge. Every student enrolled was awarded a certificate from Samsung, signifying completion in the workshop with it having been a very valuable addition to the academic portfolios of students who participated.

The Power of Technology: Presentation by Samsung on Galaxy AI and the Galaxy Ecosystem

One significant presentation of the day was from Samsung, more notably, the practical application of the new technologies; mostly Galaxy AI and Galaxy Ecosystem. The session showed how AI-driven tools could make things better, streamline workflows, and even inspire creativity. As a designer student, that is probably what excited him/her; endless possibilities could be opened up in using AI to speed up processes generate design ideas, or perhaps automate repetitive tasks.

Students are very interestingly attracted to the idea of how the Galaxy Ecosystem can generate workflow seamlessly among devices. Designing on a Galaxy tablet and presenting at the Galaxy phone, the interlinked procedure made Samsung’s offerings deliver an integrated, flexible, and powerful toolset aligned perfectly with the creative process.

Event to Remember: Branding, Photo-Ops, and Student Engagement

The take-away image was the fun and memorable photo-op session with the students posed before a specially designed gate arch at the entrance of the workshop, which was not a photo-op to be taken merely as a capsule for memories but indeed gave testimony to the collaborative effort in bringing such an invaluable session to JD Institute through Samsung and The Times of India. The branding created by Samsung ensured the event was a visual one that reflected well on the face of the day’s statement in terms of innovation and forward-thinking.

In all, more than 100 students from all the years participated in this session which is considered to be one of the biggest and most successful workshops of the semester. State-of-the-art audio and visual equipment provided by JD Institute helped make the event run continuously and seamlessly and made sure that the students absorbed each bit of valuable information given.

A Step Towards the Future

The Design Thinking Workshop powered by AI, hosted jointly by Samsung and The Times of India, was quite special for one and all. It was more than the learning of technology and design; it was a peek into the future—a future where creativity and innovation are guided by the most advanced tools and technologies available. The students of JD Institute witnessed and learned how this newly invented workshop can be vital for them as designers of tomorrow.
