Chelsea Faye Fernandes is a student of Diploma in Fashion Design (JDI Goa) and she created the collection named Deconstructing Suits. The collection is inspired by the little luxuries of life. As a suit is premium clothing and not regular clothes for a conman man or woman unless their job mandates.
these are fictional insects which are chosen to present ingarment insects are Electric firefly,Butterfly,Bio inspired bees, caterpillar, spider, mantis, beetle, fly,scorpion. Design the wire sculptures to be worn over solidcoloured and structured garments, enhancing the overalllook. Material Selection: suitable materialsfor the wire sculptures is aluminium wire where the thicknessof the wire will be around 12 to 14 gauge.and for the garment will be used lachka fabric will be use forthe crisp and steady effect.

The collection draws inspiration from the evolution of suits and how they have undergone significant change over the years without going out of style. Through this collection the design showcase takes apart each and every element of a traditional suit and puts a spin to it to create something unique and futuristic

The opening garment features a shooting star inspired lapel to show how the sky is the limit; while the closing is supposed to unveil a bed of roses which is metaphorically and visually portraying a rosy image. The color palette for collection is mainly neutrals and a pop red for the finale. And for the fabric, I’ve stuck to cotton blends of suiting material with minimal texture. Throughout the collection, a lot of different stripes will be seen and also techniques like pleating and smoking are included.
