Nephrite, yes! That’s the colour we are talking about this month. But what exactly is nephrite? And, we decode, what comes to your mind exactly?
Well, it’s close to Jade. I am sure you have heard and seen jade and its various inclusions in creative spaces and styling accessories. Nephrite is also known as New Zealand greenstone, Spinach jade or Tomb jade. To my surprise, the stone has several names for it which is good enough for mineral compositions.
Coming down to the Nephrite colour, let’s see how it appears.
When you don’t wish to have too much on your plate but still want to maintain some visual story, the inclusion of this colour in a subtle manner will do the magic. Nephrite in a minimal set-up.
Cosy sleeping spaces can have a tiny bit of colour through furnishings or a complete wall painted in colour. I am not a big fan of painted walls in accent colours, but if you are, then go ahead. Make sure that you select a tint or a tone that doesn’t spoil the feel of the room by swapping the power of the space and its other elements.
Bring in some drama if you are planning big spaces or walls that offer you a chance to put up an intriguing installation. The Moss feel is visually active, at the same time very calming to the senses.
This backsplash with leaf-shaped tiles has the closest combination of Nephrite stone unravelled right at the beginning of this photo blog.
If you talk about styling, one needs to be extremely well-polished with observation skills. Why? I’ll answer that after the next image.
There is always a possibility to uncover a new colour which has not been used by you earlier. Before exploring new grounds, one basic thing to be kept in mind is to create a compatible platform among colour, material and texture. This will always help you to both explore and create wonderful spaces.
On a closing note, use colours to enhance spaces and the mood of the atmosphere. Colours are to be loved and discovered. Until we meet next.
