The collection Deceptive Tatters, as the title suggests, is a conscious effort taken by the designers to reduce fabric waste from the apparel industry. Usually waste fabrics from the industry are used for patchworks or appliques, but the designers have utilized strips of fabric and hand woven them together with organic cotton to create a new fabric. The texture of the fabric is unique due to the double weave pattern. The resort wear collection comprises of minimalist silhouettes made from comfortable fabrics. The emphasis points of the collection are the vibrant prints and colours. Hand embroidery using glass beads and leftover yarns have been used as surface detail on the garments. The collection is presented by Nikita Badera & Tanuj Bajoria from July A Diploma Batch.
