The Department of Make-up Artistry at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, organize various in-class workshops for the students. These workshops are conducted by various industry specialists who demonstrate various practices, followed in the industry.

Bridal make up is never seasonal and is in demand at all times. Salman Raza visited the JD Campus for a demonstrative workshop on bridal make-up. He has worked for Prasad Bidappa’s salon – Squeeze, as a make-up artist and hairstylist. He has participated in India Fashion Week, Wills Fashion Week, Couture Week and other fashion shows and shoots for many international and Indian designers and campaigns. Presently, Salman is freelancing in makeup and hair for Fashion Shows, Editorial events, Bridal and Weddings, Television and Media events.

Creative Workshops

The hairstyling workshop was conducted by Awon Wungkhai, who is a renowned and leading hairstylist in South India. With 15 years of experience in the industry, she has immense knowledge on different hairdos, latest products, emerging styles, etc. The hair tutorial at JD Institute was extremely helpful and educative for the students.

Almost everyone has a fascination towards attractive nails. Nail art is growing enormously and is popular amongst the youth. Tom from Polished, visited the campus to conduct a nail-art workshop and enlightened the students about different nail colours and types of nail art.
