JD Design Awards 2022 was no ordinary event but a potpourri of creative minds. Each designer or the group of designers expresses their individuality in their own unique ways. The theme of the design award was Sync which pushed the brilliant mind to connect with nature in pace with technology.

The designer trio Priyanka Agrawal, Athulya and Vanishree Hegde for the JD Design Awards closely noticed spider web and the unconventional details of it. Reading the structures of the spider web, the designers took inspiration from the optical effects on the web and came up with the collection Connect.  

According to the designers, “To showcase the duality of light in our collection, a woolen thread is dyed using glow in the dark powder and shown through aluminum frames.”

The collection consisted of nine garments constructed with black fabric. The garments of the collection are mostly bodycons that are experimented with different shapes and structure. The designers expressed their visions by working with the aluminum structures that are created in order to give a look and feel of the intricate structures of the spider web. 

The designs of the collection were simple yet weaved magic on the audience. The unique synchronization between the designs made the collection unified and put forth the perception of three designers.
