Shankar Shanmugam or S Shankar is an Indian filmmaker who predominantly works in Tamil cinema . He is one of the most prolific and highest paid film directors in India. His films typically deal with contemporary social issues, vigilante themes and the usage of state of the art technology and VFX. Sri Haran paid tribute to him through his project Atharva Illam.

Sri Haran has pursued his BSc in Interior Design and Decoration from JD School of Design and showcased his design at JD Design Awards.

The farm house is a fusion of modern design with traditional elements with a Chettinad style exterior. The designer curated the farm house for home gardening . Traditional and modern architecture exist in an ordered relationship that showcases the transition through time and space. Traditional elements represent the past implying that tradition is the premise and foundation of modern development. The incorporation of history into contemporary architecture reflects how the architectural style is evolving along with culture and function. 

The use of traditional materials such as exposed brick and stone, combined with more modern elements such as the bottom of the balcony slab being covered in dark wood with a glossy finish, gives the building a traditional appearance.
