ALOHA 2021 – a Hawaiian beach themed Freshers party and talent show was organised by JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Cochin for the new batch of creative heads on January 5^th 2021. The floor marked the celebration to a student’s new journey of life with pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot tapping music. Students were divided into three teams – Vega, Lyra and Ankaa.  Dress code mentioned was floral prints and tropical prints. Students were welcomed with Lei, a floral garland given as a token of welcome to complete the look. The stage was taken over to introduce the Chief Guest, Fashion Photographer Mr. Reji Bhasker and other eminent personalities present for the event.

Ramp walk by each team marked the start of cultural programmes. Students show cased their talents in solo singing, group song, group dance, duet song, couple dance and solo dance. Certificates were distributed to winners in each event individually. Mr. Albin Jacob and            Ms. Saifa Sulthana were titled Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively. Team Ankaa bagged the overall championship.

As the sun set, ALOHA 2021 made students comfortable to new crowd and shared the Essence of being loved, peace, compassion and a mutual understanding of respect. The event was filled with fun and frolic where new faces, different batches all together came under one roof to showcase their talents and to learn living harmoniously with people, land around them with mercy, sympathy, grace and kindness
