Being felicitated by JD Institute of Fashion Technology was one of the most emotional and defining moments of my journey, reflecting how far I had come—from uncertain beginnings to finding my voice as a designer. Standing on that stage, I felt immense gratitude for my mentors who constantly pushed me to think bigger, my classmates who became my creative support system, and my family—especially my parents—whose encouragement gave me the strength to keep going. That recognition wasn’t just mine; it belonged to everyone who supported, challenged, and believed in me, making my journey at JD truly transformative.

I’m Jeenal Chouwan, and my journey into fashion began at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, where I discovered my creativity and built my confidence. The supportive faculty, hands-on learning, and opportunities like internships and exhibitions helped me grow both as a designer and an individual. Today, as a Sales Advisor at H&M in Bangalore, I get to apply everything I learned—engaging with customers, understanding trends, and living the world of fashion every day. JD didn’t just teach me design; it helped me shape my career and find my voice.

Alumni of JD follow different career paths all over the world – be it in industry or academics or entrepreneurship. They are the gems of our institute and we are happy to see them succeeding in their respective careers.
Bhakti Acharya (alumnus of Fashion Design) shares her journey from being a student to an intern at Levis India and now working as a Key holder in Levis London.
