Workspace holds a special place in our lives. As working professionals we tend to spend more time inside workspaces and hence curating a place that has breakaway zones is necessary. At JD Design Awards 2022, designer Neha P Jain received the Most Innovative Design Solution Award for curating A Modern Office.

A Modern Office is an office with breakaway zones, which are made for relaxation and will provide a stress-free environment during working hours. “I have built this space by using sustainable materials such as cork, bamboo, and stones. The coral reef themed interiors had furniture designed based on the shapes like starfish, coconut tree shaped bookshelves”, said the designer Neha Jain.

In order to curate this one of a kind workspace the designer took in consideration various cultures of the business as well as aesthetics. Combination of varied workspaces (coworking spaces, hot desks), use of color psychology, natural and eco-friendly elements, ergonomic furniture, integrated technology, modern decor (like artful light fixtures or attractive wall coverings) In terms of the office space itself, a modern office is likely to comprise of light/white décor, large spaces and minimal furniture – creating a modernistic approach.
