I started my JD Imagination Journey 2022 by grasping some knowledge from Heathrow Airport, UK. Upon reaching the place, I visited plenty of designer stores at the airport where I fell in love with Dior and Louis Vuitton, instantly.

Our next stop was Paris, France and I had been eagerly waiting to enter the city. The city of love and the fashion capital, Paris is a wholesome experience for every design enthusiast.

Unlike the usual educational tours, we got to experience and understand the city and witness it through the lens of design and styling. Upon reaching Paris, we started our days by visiting various tourist places. Every designer has a particular inclination to withdraw inspiration and I personally take inspiration from architecture.

Hence when I saw the world famous and one of the seven wonders, Eiffel Tower, I captured a few patterns in my mind. Roaming around the streets of the city, covering lots of sites, we got awestruck. Each place was unique and each building had its own story, highlighting the changes in architecture over the years.

Places like the Louvre Museum are of great inspiration that closely weave history and art, together. We were later taken to the Dior Fashion Exhibition and the single word to define it is ‘AWE-MAZING’.

Our final day in the city was full of imbibing the culture and fashion of France. We also went on a shopping spree and learnt a lot about styling. By witnessing the street style of Paris, we went through a transformation in understanding the styling world.

Our next destination was London and to reach there we took a cruise where we got a chance to ramp walk and showcase our talent.

In London, our 7-days styling course started with Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design. The rigorous training by the industry expert helped us believe more in our creative future and further hone our skills accordingly.

As a global learning program, JD Imagination Journey also helped us understand the culture difference and how fashion takes a paradigm shift from region to region. To have a better grasp, we were taken to the famous V&A Museum where we got to see the history of fashion and the most captivating fabrics and patterns from across the globe.

JD Imagination Journey 2022 has been very exciting and full of knowledge. I am inclined to personal styling and gained a surplus amount of knowledge from college. The faculty members of Conde Nast College helped me throughout my course to get me where I wanted to be.

During the training, we did various group activities. For our final shoot, I was very much exhilarated. It gave us an experience of a lifetime and a glimpse of our bright futures as designers and stylists.

We also got the chance to visit various places in London. Places like Bicester village, Camden market, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, London Eye, Tower Bridge,and Madame Tussauds were eye candies that also filled me with inspiration. The Buckingham Palace and the Design Museum were unmissable.

As an art and design connoisseur, I fell in love with London. The street style and the way each individual portrays themselves to the public is inspiring. During our course at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, we have been exposed to the history of art and design. JD Imagination Journey gave me the opportunity to witness it all with my own eyes and has motivated me to further explore the regions to bring new things to the design world.
